Hard to believe we are already here in April and have just completed our second Semana Santa while dealing with the CoVid crisis and its impact on our community, our beloved Costa Rica and the world at large. While so much of the world has been focused on the countless obstacles and hardships which we have collectively endured, the team and family at Marina Pez Vela is incredibly proud to be a beacon of light, hope and resiliency as we cross over the year anniversary from the closing of our borders in 2020.

This April -and the months ahead- there is a lot to celebrate, highlight and share with our community and including the ongoing tournament series for 2021 and some new additions to our commercial plaza.

Emilio’s Cafe and Faxas Cuban Cigars are both open for business here at Marina Pez Vela!

Anyone who has lived here or visited in the past fews years has already experienced some of the amazing coffee, desserts, pastries and bohemian vibe which have made Emilio’s Cafe one of the areas most popular restaurantes. Emilio has expanded his operations and has opened up a full cafe right here in the plaza. The dangerously great coffee, incredible desserts and light menu are the perfect place to relax, share with friends and family and enjoy the beauty of the Marina. Part of Emilios is also dedicated to the custom designed Costa Rican clothing lines of Jungle Ave and a local swimsuit designer so its a great spot to grab a java and pick up something unique and special for someone you love!

Faxas Cigars has also opened its doors here with a charming boutique shop located just by the entrance to Cuba Libre and Double Hook. For anyone looking for a great gift, a fantastic Cuban cigar for a special occasions or just wanting to learn a bit about the cultura of the habanos, history and something for your collection, this is a must!
