What’s Shaking at Marina Pez Vela? – November 2017
We would like to send out a very special thank you to all of the men and women of Quepos and especially to our extended Marina Pez Vela family who worked tirelessly over the last month, cleaning out neighbors’ homes, hiking food and water into cut off communities, cooking hot meals and lending a hug and a hand where needed. October was not an easy month and we are proud that our Municipality, the private sector and countless volunteers from the community came together in this time of need. Let us all continue to help those who are rebuilding their homes and we pray and hope for a successful high season to lift everyone’s spirits
Now, here are a few things we can all look forward to in the months ahead.
Thanksgiving Dinner
Looking for turkey, cranberry sauce and some of mama’s pumpkin pie…..look no further. The Marina restaurants will be serving up traditional Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, November 23rd to satisfy the cravings of the hundreds of nostalgic tourists and locals alike.
Bright Lights Boat Parade, Saturday, December 9th. SAVE THE DATE!
Mark your calendars now for the biggest and only holiday event of its kind in Costa Rica, it’s the Bright Lights Boat Parade. The Big Band will be back on center stage, as well as some other entertainment for the kids and our awesome Fireworks celebration at 9:00 pm. So, if you have a boat or know someone who has a boat, contact the Marina Pez Vela office to be part of the parade and party. And if you want to charter and decorate a boat, contact iFish Quepos at 2774-9006. Or if you just want the best seat in the house, contact your favorite Marina restaurant now for a table.
Free Marina Shuttle
If you need a lift to the Marina, we run a free hourly Shuttle to the Marina at 4, 5, 6 and 7 pm. Just call 2777-2931 or 8860-8331 to make a reservation. And if you eat at one of the Marina Restaurants, they will give you a return ticket to take the Free shuttle back to your hotel or villa at 8, 9 or 10 pm.
Fishing Tournament Time
The first fishing tournaments of the year is coming up: The Pelagic Rock Star Tournament 2 day fishing tournament on January 12th & 13th. This tournament includes both a small boat and large boat division, as well as Rock concerts on opening and closing night, so there is something for everyone. Radio Dos Live: Every Thursday 5 – 7 pm
EVAN LUCK and the rest of the team here are broadcasting live again from the Runaway Grill every Thursday night from 5-7pm. Runaway has an awesome and lively happy hour and the live broadcast around Costa Rica and the world on radiodos.com combines some great classic rock music with some entertaining guests, fishing reports and laughs with the local gang. Come down and share with friends and family, enjoy some amazing food and drink, and share in PARTY WITH EVAN, SCOTT, JERRY AND CREW!
