THE ROCKSTAR, January 11 and 12, 2020
The title could not be more fitting. It has now become the largest and biggest payout fishing tournament in Central America!! This two day shoot out is full of fun, rock and roll concerts, fishing crazies, fun team uniforms, photoshoots, and some incredible fishing. The tournament has divisions for anglers of all ages and capabilities and is an event not to be missed. For our local community, even if you are not participating, do NOT miss the early morning energy, (come down for some coffee at sunrise and enjoy breakfast in the marina…more to come on that) and DEFINITELY be back from 4-6 with the boats coming in, weigh station drama and live music in the plaza. GET READY TO ROCK AND ROLL.
LA PESCADORA, February 21 and 22, 2020
While still a month away, we couldn’t miss the chance to invite any and all female anglers out there to sign up for the 2nd Annual Pescadora Billfish Classic. This women’s only tournament was a HUGE success last year and expects twice as many teams and boats this year. Move aside boys, as the female anglers take over Quepos in February.
MARINA PEZ VELA’S NEW RESTAURANTS!
New energy, flavors and style here at Marina Pez Vela as we have two new restaurants open and operational. As we discussed in last month’s issue, Pesca Seafood House has been an AMAZING hit with their casual environment and couldn’t be fresher seafood. And we are proud to announce another grand opening of Sea Señor, a Mexican inspired cantina with a mescal and tequila tasting bar. Sea Señor is located just below Double Hook sports bar and in addition to the amazing views, is bringing HUGE flavors, a great ambience and those Mexican inspired flavors mixed with fresh seafood which we have been waiting for in the area! Your Margaritas, fresh salsas, fish tacos, and handmade tortillas are waiting!

Runaway Grill is now offering Breakfast!! There is no better way to start the day than with the views out over the boats, 7-10 cups of amazing coffee, and some delicious grub. Doors open at 7am; see you soon for some Huevos Rancheros, pinto, bacon, and fresh fruit!

As we notified last month, this year our traditional, FREE MOVIE NIGHTS move to Wednesday nights @6:00pm. We have a great line up of movies for January and you can check out the Wednesday night special on our website or Facebook page. This is a great opportunity to enjoy one of the great restaurants here, relax under a star filled sky, and watch a great film on Central America’s largest open air screen!
