Señor Jordan
Feliz día de la amistad y del amor – Happy Valentine’s Day.
Because this is the month of friendship I am gonna introduce you to someone that I think should be your new B.F.F. He calls himself Señor Jordan, he’s from the U.S.A. and he is very humble and funny, kind of brilliant sometimes. I think he is a hard working person, his English is as perfect as yours and his Spanish is as good as mine.
But these are not the reasons I want you to become his friend…
As I said, he goes by Señor Jordan and in college he majored in Spanish and communications at Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. He currently teaches junior high and high school Spanish in a rural school in Missouri.
He first started learning Spanish in high school and ever since then, he’s been in love with the Spanish language. He studied abroad while in college in Costa Rica. He also traveled to México for a week on a missions’ trip. He’s since helped out as an interpreter for a mission’s trip to El Salvador and another one to Guadalajara, México.
But these are not the reasons I want you to become his friend…
While he was studying at Truman, he stumbled upon a Spanish-speaking community in a nearby town and quickly became a part of them through a local church. Since then, he has actively been a part of their congregation and he currently lives in the community.
These are not yet the reasons I want you to become his friend…
People often have asked him how they can learn Spanish better and he’s noticed that there are not very many good free resources. He would also not like to recommend someone to use a paid service since he would hate for them to waste money on a bad program.
Due to that, and his wanting to help out his students, he decided to start his site. His idea is much larger, but for now he will be uploading videos to help with Spanish grammar.
And this, my friends; this is the reason I want you to become his friend…
His videos are the reason. They are extremely well done, colorful, easy to follow and, the MOST important, they are free, they are short, they are simple and they are pretty cool.
Above is a picture of one of his videos where he points out a regular, super common mistake that I am sure all of you have done in the past:
Me llamo: _______________ (your name). Correcto.
Me llamo ES: _______________ (your name). Incorrecto.
Me llamo ES: _______________ (your name). Correcto.
¿How to find him? Pretty simple, go to Missouri. Just kidding.
¿How to find his videos? Better question, isn’t it?
Go to his website: www.SenorJordan.com
Or go straight to his videos from the bottom of my website: www.OsCostaRica.com

¡Hopefully they will help you as well!
