¿Qué Pasa en Quepos? – August 2024

Bienvenidos… Welcome to the jungle. August is one of our favorite months here in this tropical paradise and we look forward to guiding your adventures while you are here. The rains have been bringing new life and the forest is bursting with it and waiting to be explored. This is a great time to experience our National Parks and local treasures like Nauyaca Falls with cooler temperatures and without all the crowds. While hiking through the National Park you probably will notice that a lot of the moms have their babies holding on tight to their backs as they jump from tree to tree.

The whales also return in August to have their babies in the coves throughout the Central Pacific so keep an eye out towards the horizon for them breaching while enjoying a cocktail and beautiful sunset (Aqua Azul, Ronny’s Place, and Sunset to mention a few). Marina Pez Vela is proud to be your Whale Watching Headquarters. In addition to great restaurants, shopping, and world class Sportfishing they have the fleet of boats ready and waiting to get you out and up close to these majestic whales. (Brisa Elegante and Sunset Sails).

August 15 is Mother’s Day in Costa Rica. We want to thank Frank Schulz for yet another incredible cover shot of the sloth and her baby. We also want to thank and wish all you amazing woman a wonderful Mother’s Day for all you DO. So don’t forget to make your reservations, book her a massage, or just take a walk on the beach and let your special woman know how much you care and appreciate all they do.

We hope you enjoy our magazine and it helps guide you through this enchanting paradise that we call home. You can always follow and share us online here and on Facebook/Quepolandia.

Peace and Enjoy…D
