Kids Saving the Rainforest

Kids Saving the Rainforest wishes you a Happy Valentine‘s Day!

By Jennifer Rice

The animals of the rainforest wish you a Happy Valentine’s Day and want to thank you for helping them!  We have a great idea for your list of Valentines.  Give them a Valentine’s Day Card with a certificate in their name on the inside.  It will be pretty on the outside and one of a kind, made by volunteers!  On the inside will be a certificate that can be framed.  Make a donation of $20 or more and we will give you a certificate in the name of your loved one, which makes a perfect Valentine’s Day card.  Spread some love and save the wildlife! We sincerely appreciate your support in helping us to continue our lifesaving work with the wildlife in our area!

Come into our KSTR Souvenir Store at any time from 7 AM to 9 PM and we will give you your certificate in a card form.  We also have great gifts for your special Valentines!  The store is located at the Hotel and Rainforest Restaurant Mono Azul on the road to Manuel Antonio, 1 mile on the right, on the way to the beach from Quepos.  (2777-2572)

As you may already know we are excited to be moving our Wildlife Rescue Center to our Wildlife Sanctuary enabling us to serve even more rainforest animals within our budget.  We are thrilled that the Rescue Center will be able to continue to operate in its new location with plans for some wonderful improvements including a teaching window so our vet can share with visitors her work with the animals as she is caring for them.  We’re pleased to say that our local fire department will now be keeping a KSTR wildlife cage onsite for delivering rescue animals that they find safely to KSTR.  Local hotels that frequently call KSTR for help with an injured animal can now bring their wildlife to our new rescue center or pay for transport.

Rainforest wildlife including the endangered mono titi are always at risk from electrical wires and busy roads so will see great benefit to this cooperative community solution enhancing the effectiveness of the Rescue Center. Thanks again for your support, we look forward to sending more good news about our continuing progress at the KSTR Animal Sanctuary and Wildlife Rescue Center soon!

Pura vida from KSTR!
